Rubin's passion in justice and support for the underprivileged, a virtue inherited from his lawyer father, landed him in the Monroe County Hall of Justice where he served as Assistant District Attorney under District Attorneys Kurlander, Chesworth, and Relin. Aside from being a lawyer, Ruben is an avid boxing enthusiast and the only Filipino NYS professional boxing judge.
